← how to fly Starfield is an interactive flight through the real solar neighbourhood, drawn on a canvas. You fly a rocket whose throttle is measured in gravities, and the game computes the actual consequences: aberration crushes the stars into a cone ahead of you, the Doppler effect paints them into a coloured ring, the cosmic microwave background heats up until it is as bright as the Sun, and the clock aboard your ship falls behind the clock at home. Playing it needs a canvas-capable browser, but the physics it is built on is written up in The Geometry of Spacetime.
