# Independent Reviewer Guide v0.6

## Purpose

Reproduce or overturn the author pilot; do not confirm it by default.

## Before access

1. Read the independent protocol and estimand.
2. Complete the conflict disclosure.
3. Receive a reviewer ID and only the records/forms required for the current stage.
4. Do not open `psilocybin-data-extraction.csv`, `psilocybin-rob2-pilot.csv`, `grade-evidence-profile.csv`, or the author narrative synthesis until first-pass decisions for that stage are locked.

## Screening

Screen broadly at title/abstract. At full text, apply eligibility in order: population, exposure, design, setting, outcome availability, report uniqueness. Use one primary exclusion code. Uncertainty means include for adjudication, not guess-exclude.

## Extraction

Extract what the report says, not what seems likely. Preserve verbatim outcome definitions and source locations. Distinguish randomized, dosed, safety, and analyzed denominators. Do not infer a seven-day zero from a generic “no serious adverse events” statement unless follow-up and ascertainment clearly cover the window; flag it for adjudication.

## RoB 2

Judge each result. Record how functional unblinding, subjective attribution, missing follow-up, and selective reporting could change that particular result. Do not use funding alone as a risk-of-bias judgment.

## GRADE

Complete domain judgments without seeing the author rating. Very-low certainty does not mean high harm; it means low confidence in the estimate.

## Conflict resolution

Reviewers discuss only after both first-pass forms are locked. The adjudicator cites the report, registry, protocol, or rule used. Disagreement records remain public.

## Safety and language

This project evaluates evidence; it does not advise readers to take psilocybin. Keep controlled clinical administration distinct from recreational or unsupervised use.
